OUR RECENT PROJECTS
BALCONES CLUB HOME REMODEL
In addition to constructing the floating staircase system, we also had to lower the ceiling to conceal the steel I beam required to support the walkway on the 2nd floor. This also made the hall closet upstairs taller and more functional.
Finally, we had to reframe the home’s large front window to make it more square (also essential for lowering the ceiling) and change the angle of the bedroom doors to create symmetry.
BALCONES CLUB BATHROOM REMODEL
Inspiration for Spring Hollow was based on a desire to create an elemental, restful place. A retreat, grounded in modern Japanese Zen-like design, brings the master bathroom suite with a semi enclosed shower tubarea into a private hide-away. The design was to be a departure from the traditional style and into an escape to revive the senses
LEANDER KITCHEN REMODEL
The client wanted to transform their outdated, closed concept kitchen into an open concept space more conducive to entertaining. This proved challenging, as there was a small sitting room separating the dining room and the front entry, and the entry between the kitchen and the dining room was quite narrow.
We achieved the client’s desired open concept feel and room-to-room flow in several ways: removed the sitting room wall to create one, large dining area;enlarged the entry from the kitchen to the dining room; and, created a large look-through from the sink into the living room. This new plan provided the blank canvas we needed to achieve other client goals for the kitchen: an island, a custom bar and built-in cabinets.
